Balochistan culture
Pakistan is located in the Northern Hemisphere. It has Five Provinces Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Balochistan
The porvince of Balochistan in Pakistan contains most of historical places and is named after the baloch. Neighbouring regions are Iranian Balochistan to the south-west, Afghanistan and Federally administered tribal areas to the north-east and Punjab and Sindh to the east. To the south is the Arabian sea. The principal Languages in the province are Balochi, Pashto, Brahui and Persian. Quetta is the capital and Largest city of Balochistan.
Balochistan is located on the eastern edge of the Iranian plateau and is difficult to define border region between Southwest, Central and South Asia. It is geographically the largest of the five provinces at 347, 190km and composes 42% of the total land area of Pakistan. The density of population is very low due to the mountainous terrain and scarcity of water. The southern region is known as Makran. The region in the centre of the province, is known as Kalat.
The climate of upper highlands is characterized by very cold winters and warm summers. Winters of the lower highlands vary from extremely cold in the northern districts to mild conditions closer to the Makran coast. Summers are hot and dry. The plain areas are also very hot in summer. Winters are mild on the plains. The desert climate is characterized by hot and very arid conditions.
There are 26 districts in Balochistan, in which Bolan, Chagai, Gwadar, Lasbela, Loralai, Mastung, Pishin, Sibi, Zhob, Ziarat, Turbat and Kalat are very famous and important for our country.
The economy of this province is largely based upon the production of natural gas, coal and minerals. The province's natural resources help to meet the energy needs of the province. Fishing along the Arabian sea coastline is another form of income and sustenance for the local population.
The people of balochistan work very hard for their livelihood. The men wear long shirts. They also wear turban and caps. Women wear loose dress with a scarf called Sarig in their local dialect. Their shirts are decorated with thread work.
There are five main public Universities in Balochistan and there are many private institutes as well Which are setting up system to deliver the increasing demands for province. Balochistan university of information technology, engineering, management sciences and Bolan Medical Collage are very well reputed institutes.
As Quetta is provincial capital of Balochistan, it is considered very important city for it. Quetta 's railway station is one of the biggest railway stations of pakistan. Quetta Airport is the second biggest airport of Pakistan.
Ziarat is a famous tourist resort. The founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah spent his life's last days at this place.
